What Can I do to Prepare for my Session?

The most important thing a client can do to be ready for their session is:

Ask questions,

Be honest about your expectations of our session,

Feel free to be your open, uninhibited self!

Our session should be a fun and enjoyable experience for all of us! The added stressors of clothing, locations, poses and whether or not your little munchkin decided to plaster a rub-on tattoo on his forehead the night before our shoot... Are all things we can deal with together :)

Clothing Recommendations:

I typically recommend solid colors over busy patterns and a matching color scheme if the shoot involves more than one person. It is always fun to have more than one outfit picked out to express various sides of you and your loved ones! But most of all the outfit you choose should reflect you and your character!

Props!?

Got 'em! GREAT!

Don't? No problem.

Really, anything can be considered a "prop." A scarf, a hair piece, a neck tie, a hat, a piece of furniture or blanket that is meaningful to you, an empty frame, a pet, flowers, bubbles...

I ask you simply to think about small or large objects in your life that really bring you joy... Most likely we can work them into your shoot and spread that joy around!

Also, if you are interested in having props but have nothing that really jumps out at you, I do have a small collection of items and furniture (the orange chair) that I love to use. Just ask for details!

Locations:

This is one of the best parts! You get the chance to brainstorm some of your very favorite places to go. Downtown? The Park? The bench down the street? The coffeeshop on the corner?

Me and my camera are very mobile. We want to go where you are going to be happy.

I am always ready and excited about helping you choose locations!
