This is my absolute favorite time of the year and this year I convinced my boyfriend that hosting a Christmas party at our house was a SUPER AMAZING AND PERFECT idea….
Little did he know that Pinterest would be taking over our home for nearly the entire week leading up to said party :) From homemade peppermint patties to gingerbread man shaped whoopee pies and icicle lights hanging from the ceiling- We transformed our house into the perfect little Christmas wonderland <3
Check out some of the fun below and find links to some of the recipes and cute props here!
Homemade Peppermint Patties- Actually a pretty easy recipe, but go easy on the powdered sugar! We added a little too much and found that it was a little to try and hard to roll out!
Gingerbread Man Whoopies- Literally follow this recipe, let them cool slightly and then cut out the man shape with a cookie cutter :) Fill with frosting and YUM!
Peppermint Cake- This makes your house smell like heaven. (Unless you hate peppermint..). Easy and fun! We didn't do the double color layers inside, but tried to swirl the batter instead. It only kind of worked, but it still tasted great!
Thumbprint Cookies- I actually use an old recipe I tore off the back of a bag of kisses many years ago!
Santa Hat Strawberries- Just made a box of brownie mix, poured them into mini muffin baking tins, frosted them and stuck a berry and a little frosting puff on top! So easy!
Pretzel Hugs- Perfect little snack bites!
For Such A Time Designs- Made the adorable Merry Kissmas spoon :)
