I met Cory last summer at a bar in Bellingham that actually no longer exists (RIP The Fountain). We drank cocktails and cracked jokes. It felt like meeting up with a long time friend. She told me she had found me through a friend of hers. This friend actually followed MY friend who creates beautiful hand-stamped flatware and sells it on Etsy. She found my name through some of my photos of these flatware pieces and told Cory to call me. Cory reached out and I am so so happy she did. Life is funny, right?
SO THEN: I met two of the best people ever.
This couple is SO so easy and fun to be around, completely and obviously in love with each other and so passionate about their lives. Cory is lighthearted, funny and determined. Chad has a giant heart and a way of making each person he meets really feel appreciated- Not to mention he's a kick-ass craftsman (their wedding venue never could have happened without him!) They make a great team.
We got to talking about their engagement session and they told me they wanted to hang out for an entire day on their boat and hop on over to an island real quick. Um, what? YEP. We made our way to Sucia Island and spent the day drinking beer, playing on the beach and wrangling their crazy (and adorable) dogs. For their wedding? Well, what better place to have it than in their own backyard!? These two worked tirelessly for months to prep their first home together for a giant celebration- And IT RULED. You killed it Cory and Chad! Only to top it all off on a giant boat ride around Bellingham Bay. I mean, why not?
Cory and Chad: We love you. Thank you for these fantastic memories. I will treasure them. <3
