When Jessica reached out and let me know they were putting together a small ceremony in February, I was so thrilled to be included in this really momentous time. I also knew I was going to have to roll with the punches. For those of you familiar with February in the Pacific Northwest you already know that it's a rather temperamental month and one never really knows what kind of weather Mother Nature is going to give you. Well! We lucked out. This ceremony took place at The Chrysalis Inn and Spa near Fairhaven, Washington on a warm sixty degree day, full of sunshine and the perfect, light breeze that closed with a fantastic sunset. The perfect way to start this new chapter for the Aber family! I didn't know a lot about this family when I arrived, but I came to find out that Jessica and James have been together for nearly 20 years and have two beautiful daughters who were there, teary-eyed and all, supporting this special time for their parents and their whole family.
The Chrysalis is tucked slightly off the main street, directly along Bellingham Bay and surrounded by lushes walkways, railroad tracks and Bellingham's board walk. Once everyone had dried their tears from the very small, intimate and heart wrenching ceremony, we wandered the trails and I got to watch this family come together in an incredibly meaningful way. Life is sweet.
Congratulations Jessica and James- You have a beautiful family.
