I am absolutely thrilled to have had the chance to photograph the incredibly talented Samantha Ferraro of The Little Ferraro Kitchen who just came out with her first cookbook this year: The Weeknight Mediterranean Kitchen! For those of you who don't have it yet at home, GET ON IT! SI met Sam when she first moved to town and am honored to have been a part of her journey and to watch her grow. She needed some option for a headshot for her book and we had a great time messing up her kitchen! For fabulous, easy and delicious recipes check out her blog and pick up her book!
This fort building lifestyle session with Afton Lewis' family was full of building, Christmas lights, board games, books, bed jumping and all sorts of silliness. A very accurate and realistic lifestyle session of a day in the life for this sweet family. (Although I think the bed jumping was a special occassion!) Thanks for having me, Afton! This was such a fun shoot!
For months I had been brainstorming ways to photograph some kids in their element of play doing something they already loved to do that involved a series of props. When Leah reached out to me about the Donut Shop that was frequently played in their house- I knew this was the perfect opportunity. These sweet cousins were so excited to play Donut Shop and had no idea that REAL donuts were awaiting them once we'd spent some time getting comfortable together and playing with the set of play donuts they are used to using. They sold donuts to each other, played and stacked and pretended to eat... and then we busted out the goods. Some of my favorite shots from this session are right at the end- faces full of sugar-y goodness and cheers over a table full of their favorite treats.
Do your kids play something together on a regular basis that would be fun to capture? Send me a message and let's savor those sweet memories of play together.
Somehow this incredibly adorable kitchen sink bath session with sweet baby Isla slipped through the cracks and wasn't blogged after our time together last June. This was SUCH a fun session and I loved watching these two interact with their little lady. Didn't mind that beautiful natural light streaming in the kitchen window, either ;) Lifestyle sessions like this are so exciting for me as a photographer. Capturing your real moments in a different way is the best part of my job <3
