Whenever you have the chance to sneak away with some of your best friends for the weekend- you know it’s going to be good! We booked this place months ago in hopes of some fun in the snow, but alas, the PNW had a mind of its’ own- per usual. Instead of snow, though, we hiked around the wilderness and checked out the river from the Horseshoe Bend Trail- one of our favorites! This ADORABLE Airbnb cabin out in Glacier was just the home away from home we needed for a weekend full of games, hot tubbing, tacos and a loootttt of laughter.
This afternoon with Elyse and Jayson was such a beautiful PNW day! Seattle was showing off her sunny side and we walked around down near the ferry terminal for some fun shots near the Ye Old Curiosity Shop and to get that Great Wheel in the background before hoping aboard for a ride over to Bainbridge Island where we walked the cute town of Bainbridge to get some ice cream at Mora. We wrapped up our day with some beach time in Indianola!
My new HUSBAND (what!?) and I are just returning from an amazing honeymoon in Charleston, South Carolina. Naturally... I took my camera juuuust about everywhere with us :) We walked probably 20 miles on this trip and saw a TON of stuff in and around Charleston. We toured the Boone Hall Plantation and butterfly garden which was probably one of the biggest highlights of our trip. It was so gorgeous, full of history and original buildings AND this is where some of the scenes from The Notebook were filmed... I mean, c'mon. We went on ghost tours, city tours, carriage rides and oogled all the Spanish moss all over the trees. We toured the old haunted city jail and drank tons of wine on the rooftop terrace of our hotel, shopped on King Street, walked the waterfront and mingled with the barkeeps. We rented a car one day to make it over to Sullivan's Island, Folly Beach, Mt. Pleasant and Isle of Palms. We even got to check out the awesome old Fort Moultrie! This place has so much charm! Enjoy some of my favorite shots ;)
We went on a little rainy day adventure over the weekend to check out these awesome ice caves I had been hearing about from our other photographer friends in town (Shout out Joe and Patience!). This trip is SO worth it and SO freaking cool. The rain decided to hold off just long enough for us to explore all the different paths and water falls in the area, too. The hike is easy and the view is mind blowing!
