The 2018 issue of Bellingham Alive’s Winter Fashion magazine was SO much fun to be a part of! I loved the neutral color scheme with pops of colors and FEATHERS! Lisa Karlberg hand crafted all of the feather wardrobe pieces herself and handpicked the outfits and accessories from local businesses. Find the entire list of participating shops below! You can find this issue on store shelves near you until the end of December!
I had the opportunity to partner up with Bellingham Alive and SO many AMAZING local vendors and shops for this Winter 2017 Comfy & Cozy Fashion Edition! Our beautiful model Brooklyn is always one of my favorite people to work with, the hand picked pieces from Lisa Karlberg from a variety of shops all across Whatcom and Skagit Counties were beautiful, make-up and hair was done onsite at the Majestic Inn & Spa and touched up all day by the lovely Elizabeth Marie Makeup and Hair by Alise! We had a variety of different outfits and wanted to feature not only the full outfits, but to really focus on the little details that make each outfit unique. Find a full list of boutiques and shops below for all the outfits you see here!
I had this really unique opportunity to work with some friends in the Austin, Texas area who are helping to expand a new jewelry line called the Ajuna Collection. This line is really special in that "Ajuna jewelry is Uganda’s leading ethical jewelry business working with marginalized women at fair trade wages to give them access to an empowering job, sustainable income, healthcare, education and a real chance to break the cycle of poverty." The money made from these handmade pieces goes back directly to the men and women who worked so hard to create them. They are so colorful and different from any jewelry I see around this area. I had the chance to pull together a couple of wonderful local models to show off the pieces and then brought the line into my studio for some close-ups!
