I was SO thrilled when 1889 Washington Magazine reached out to me about doing a spotlight piece on Triple Wren Farms. They wanted to show off the family behind the farm, the team that makes all the magic happen and the BEAUTIFUL colors that grow all over the farm in the summer months. in addition to growing flowers, they do arrangements and consultations for weddings, offer an internship program and hold workshops to help teach and support other farmer-florists like themselves. Check out their feature in the 1889 Magazine or on their blog!!
Charles and I had the opportunity to take a little break from the PNW gloom and visit my grandparents in Arizona last April. I love going to see my grandparents. Eating dinner together, the smell of their garage that for SOME REASON has had the same smell since we were little kids despite their moving to a new house. Looking through photo albums, playing games, walking around their neighborhood and taking my Grandpa's golf cart to the pool. It really doesn't get much better than that! Here are just a few of my favorites form the trip. I really fell in love with so many of the desert plants that grow there <3
Back when spring rolled around I was itching to play around with my macro lens in my studio space. These beautiful had just come home with me from Molbak's Home and Garden and I thought I would capture them before anything happened to them..... I will have you know it's been several months now and most of these plants are still happily living :) I loved how these turned out and wanted to share this little collection! If any of you are ever interested in purchasing any of these images- you can find a few of them in my shop in both canvas and metal options!
Pozie by Natalie came to me early in 2016 inquiring about re-creating these totally awesome vintage images of women throughout the various seasons of the year. We started in the Spring and moved right through Winter of 2016 to capture each of these beautiful ladies that were kind enough to cooperate with our craziness. From piles of holly and fake snow to buckets upon buckets of brightly colored flowers and cold winds, these photos were a labor of love. Pozie by Natalie has a kind heart and a huge imagination, I am proud to work with her and call her a friend. Enjoy!
