Last Thursday a great friend of mine came down to visit from the Seattle area.. it just happened to be the most beautiful day all week. We drove out to the waterfalls on I-84 and poked around on the histrocal scenic drive that follows the highway... we stopped and snapped this one near the Vista Point House.
I am a really lucky person to have such a handsome man in my life. Cutie, isn't he? :) This was on a little hike to Bridal Veil Falls just outside Portland along the Columbia River Gorge. A Saturday afternoon just doesn't get much better than this ;)
It was too hard to resist such beautiful fall weather this weekend and this unique little spot off of I-84 caught our attention. Secluded island with access to the water, huge rocks and empty field, unlabeled, crowd free... Such a treasure.
Well, Fall really is here! We took a beautiful drive down I-84 this weekend to Hood River where they were celebrating Fall at the Harvest Festival! Apples bigger than my fists, sweet pears, gourds, pumpkins, squash, purple and blue corn, peaches and plums! Not to mention the typical festival must-haves including elephant ears, live music and crafts :) The weather held on just long enough for us to enjoy sample after sample of mouth watering fresh fruit and see the 1,421 pound hand carved pumpkin. Festival lovers... Enjoy :)
