Elyse and Jayson tied the knot overlooking the city of Seattle from Pacific Tower on a completely perfect Seattle summer evening. This magical location has everything from an urban feel to the city skyline and secret little hidden gardens. I knew this wedding would be something special after spending the afternoon learning so much about this awesome couple during their ferry-filled engagement session. The love and respect these two have for one another is so apparent, but it’s even more obvious that they LOVE to make each other laugh. This entire day was full of sweet emotions, big laughs, so many hugs and a beautiful couple making their forever commitment together!
Happy Valentine’s Day to all you love birds out there! Valentine’s Day is historically one of the most popular days to get engaged, so I wanted to share some of my very favorite engagement ring shots today- Including my very own! I mean, who can resist a beautiful piece of bling!? I do my absolute best to be sure I get a great detail shots of the engagement and weddings rings at both my e-sessions and on the big day!
Jardin Del Sol is a beautiful little garden venue tucked away in the lovely Snohomish, Washington area and offers SO many fantastic backdrops all within steps of the main venue area. Each time I’ve had the opportunity to shoot here the space has been immaculately kept and full of color.
As often happens on wedding days in all the hustle and bustle, the bride and groom were running behind schedule- so what to do, you ask? Well, you don’t panic and you step up your detail game! The combination of the lush greenery of Jardin Del Sol and the many details Angela and Luis had worked hard to put together for their special day, there was plenty to photograph. As the couple arrived we were all geared up and ready to focus right on them as the day began to unfold.
Angela’s daughter was the flower girl for their big day and it was so sweet to watch the two girls get ready together and share some really special moments before walking down the aisle. It was a very emotional ceremony for this couple who had been together for several years and begun building a life together long before their official wedding ceremony, but they certainly know how to party after all the tears had been dried! The dance floor was full of fun on this beautiful summer evening in the Pacific Northwest. <3
We've been to Orcas Island many times over the years, but were first introduced to it by our friends Shayna and Shaunn who met on the island while working together at Camp Orkila. They fell in love with each other and the island and loved sharing it with us whenever we could all make it out. It's a beautiful place and we have so many wonderful memories here thanks to them.
Shayna and Shaunn have been some of our best friends for nearly a decade and when they asked us to be a part of this incredibly small and intimate day in their favorite place to be together we were obviously thrilled- and ready to party ;) Charles took on the role of officiant, they had their best friends fly in from the far reaches of the world and I got to photograph the occasion. It was a perfect day on the island for their Shmurphy Ceremony. We all trekked through the high tide to the small island right outside of downtown where they tied the knot. Luckily Charles brought his most subtle handkerchief along which was definitely put to good use.
I am constantly delighted by the number of people that trust me to capture such special moments, but it always feels even more special when it's the people you love most. Love you both, Shmurphys. xoxo.
