We took a little weekend trip up to Vancouver a few weekends ago to celebrate a friend's birthday and to get out of town. Vancouver really is such a gorgeous city! We spent some time wandering Stanley Park and relaxing before the buzz of wedding season starts up again!
What an absolutely AMAZING day!!! Shannon and Ed share a love for the Center for Wooden Boats in downtown Seattle and IT IS SO RAD. I grew up in the Seattle area and never even knew about this place- So cool. I knew from the moment these two asked me to grab a beer after their engagement session at the Mukilteo Lighthouse that we were going to be friends and I couldn't wait to be a part of their day!
Shannon and Ed have this fantastic little love story as to how the two of them met while living on the east coast- They had seen each other on public transit and locked eyes, but never ended up actually meeting that day. It wasn't until they had posted in the Missed Connections ads online that they ended up reconnecting!!!! With both of them coming from very different geographical locations, many of their family members didn't have the chance to meet until their wedding day. This crowd got along famously!
I love this story and am so happy to have been a part of this big love adventure. Congratulations Shannon and Ed!!!
I feel really lucky that the summertime allows me the time I want to spend with Charles on days like this. We watched the storm clouds roll in around Semiahmoo, drank red wine from the cute bar and snuggled.
We had the most amazing opportunity to take a little joy ride in this adorable (or very masculine) plane. Our pilot, Scott, is an instructor out of the Bellingham airport and has been flying for many years. We flew all OVER the place from Bellingham to the tulip festival in Skagit County, all over the San Juan Islands and back over downtown Bellingham and Fairhaven. Guess what?? We didn't even barf ;)
