I was SO thrilled when 1889 Washington Magazine reached out to me about doing a spotlight piece on Triple Wren Farms. They wanted to show off the family behind the farm, the team that makes all the magic happen and the BEAUTIFUL colors that grow all over the farm in the summer months. in addition to growing flowers, they do arrangements and consultations for weddings, offer an internship program and hold workshops to help teach and support other farmer-florists like themselves. Check out their feature in the 1889 Magazine or on their blog!!
This little lady could NOT sit still and it was so stinking cute! I had so much fun chasing this family around Elizabeth Park and playing in the changing leaves!
We really do live in a beautiful place here in the Pacific Northwest. A few weeks ago we hiked our way down the Fragrance Lake and Lost Lake trails found just a little way down Chuckanut Drive. We never did end up finding Lost Lake before turning around in fear of the millions of stairs we'd already come down, but we found a whole lot of other beautiful treasures. For all you outdoorsy people out there- this is a hike you don't want to miss!
My new HUSBAND (what!?) and I are just returning from an amazing honeymoon in Charleston, South Carolina. Naturally... I took my camera juuuust about everywhere with us :) We walked probably 20 miles on this trip and saw a TON of stuff in and around Charleston. We toured the Boone Hall Plantation and butterfly garden which was probably one of the biggest highlights of our trip. It was so gorgeous, full of history and original buildings AND this is where some of the scenes from The Notebook were filmed... I mean, c'mon. We went on ghost tours, city tours, carriage rides and oogled all the Spanish moss all over the trees. We toured the old haunted city jail and drank tons of wine on the rooftop terrace of our hotel, shopped on King Street, walked the waterfront and mingled with the barkeeps. We rented a car one day to make it over to Sullivan's Island, Folly Beach, Mt. Pleasant and Isle of Palms. We even got to check out the awesome old Fort Moultrie! This place has so much charm! Enjoy some of my favorite shots ;)
