Happiest of birthdays to this adorable, sweet little girl and her hilarious and loving parents. This little girls Mom and I met a few years ago thanks to the internet (we still laugh about that) and I have been intermittently photographing people they know in our small town for a few years now. This time I had the opportunity to photograph her and her family and on such a happy occasion! Vada's Mom put so much time and energy into this ADORABLE Apple of My Eye themed one year birthday party and you can check out what she had to say about it over on her own blog here! So many sweet details brought this afternoon together at the Fairhaven Library Fireplace Room in Bellingham, Washington. I really think that Mom thought of everything- activities, apple cupcakes, apple treats, "kid" snacks and adult drinks, apple plates and decor all around. The best part is that Mom DIY-ed the heck out of this day and you can see love in every part of it. Even the food was provided by the birthday girl's Mom and Grandma's local restaurant Leaf and Ladle!
Thank you J, Morgan and Sweet Vada Girl for including me on such a special day!
This family came together several milestone birthdays all happening in the same year and to celebrate such a kind and loving family they have. The Bellingham weather ended up giving us the most lovely morning on the bay and we followed it with a quick stop at a home that has been in the family for a very long time. <3
I am so honored to have been a party of Vada's special birthday bashes for the first three years of her sweet life! This family is dear to my heart and Morgan is a BALLER party planner. This Pedal Party was inspired by their newfound love for bike riding last year and took place in the cute little gym over at Bloedel Donovan Park! Chalk full of little details (I would expect nothing less!) from a bike decorating station to a full bike obstacle coarse and bicycle cookies made by Morgan herself (check out her cookie business here!).
The kids had a fantastic time AND got some energy out! Win, win. Thanks for having me, Gaunt Family! Love you guys.
This little lady turned TWO and I just can't believe it's been an entire year since I was blabbering on about her Apply of My Eye themed birthday party last year- remember that!? Well, Mom has outdone herself again! This year Vada had a puppy themed birthday party with everything from puppy adoption, puppy obstacle courses and puppy paintings to puppy cookies, puppy statues and puppy headbands ALL designed and created by momma herself. Delicious spread made by Leaf and Ladle! We all got to party down in the Fairhaven Library and enjoy kids of every age getting into the theme. This Mom definitely knows how to throw a party and please crowds of all ages from sweet treats, themed activities and fun snacks on the side- it was obvious that every single person there was having a great time and sweet Vada girl couldn't get enough puppy cookies and time spent chasing friends <3
If any of you are ever looking for a local party planner- this is your girl. She is hilarious, smart as all get out and one of the most creative minds I know. ENJOY!
I grew up in Samammish and have known a few members of this family since I was a very little kid. It was so fun to see the newest generations of their family and spend some time in this gorgeous park!
I cannot BELIEVE how time flies!!! The end of 2014 was full of adorable themed one year birthday parties and sweet Logan was one of them. His Mom totally knocked it out of the park with this farm themed party. It was so cool to meet Logan's grandparents, extended family and friends and watch him interact with the people he loves- that smile kills me! The specialty cake was inspired and created after his favorite toy: a soft squishy cube with a pig face on it. He wasn't totally excited about the cake smash to begin with, but he got behind the idea after a few tastes and eventually flipping it on the floor. Sometimes you just need to end a party with no pants on!
Sweet Gaber family- Thank you for these memories. This was so fun!
It is always such a treat for me to photograph birthday parties!! Every kid is so different and I love to see how they react to all the excitement. I had the pleasure of photograhing Logan's one year birthday party last year so it was extra fun to see how different he was this year! Sweet Logan has a thing for clocks. So, his mom themed the party after ticks and tocks and it was completely adorable. Congrats on your big day, Logan! You are too cute!
Parts of this family came from all over the world to join us on this special day! This was one of the most kind families I have ever had the pleasure of working with and I couldn't get over their authentic way of showing up. Thanks for trusting me to capture the real you!
Sweet Sienna! I cannot believe you are already a whole year old. I've been working with this family for several years now and have had the chance to photograph both Sienna and her brother's one year birthday parties. Themed parties for cute little kids have to be one of my favorite things to photograph EVER. Love you guys, Gaber family!
Sweet Harrison is one year old already and his Mom found him the most adorable little outfit to set up this birthday scene. So thankful for these kinds of shoots that make my job so fun. We love this family and can't wait to watch this CUTE little man grow up!
This little sweetheart turned one and had the most epic party! Everything from a petting zoo and a blow up bouncy house to a huge buffet and Elsa coming for a visit!
